How to blog from your iPhone
Posted on June 26, 2009
I recently discovered the iPhone WordPress app and I’m loving it. The app makes it extremely easy to write and update posts on the fly from your iPhone.
With support for both self-hosted and WordPress.com blogs, the app is very simple and easy to use. It has three basic menus:
Whithin these menus, you have the option of creating and modifying content that is either published or in draft status.
The app also lets you store drafts on your blog’s server or on your iPhone’s “Local Drafts” folder. So you could still write posts even if you don’t have access to the 3G network or WIFI.
There are two ways to add images to your posts using the iPhone for WordPress app. You can add photos already stored in your iPhone library or by taking a picture using your phone’s camera through the app. Here is an example of photo I took and added via the app:
This app is completely free!
At the time of this posts’ release, the current version of the app is the newly released v. 1.3 compatible with OS 3.0.
Now, if you have an iPhone there are no excuses to write posts even if you happen to be away from your computer. You can download the app at the official WordPress for iPhone site.
